7131E is the deepest-made bull that we have ever produced here at Johansen Herefords. It would be tough to find a bull that is as easy doing and deep sided as 7131E.  He also boasts a solid set of epd's with a moderate BW, and he ranks in the top 15% for Milk and M&G.  His dam is a very good Miles City-bred female with a great udder.  She is a full sister to our 1102Y herd sire that we raised and used in our herd.  7131E is made very much in the same mold as his great sire 5011C with tons of volume and capacity.

We purchased 6212D in the Fall of 2019 from Holdens.  6212D was used as a herd sire for Holdens over the past 3 years and we have always kept an eye on him.  He produced the 8132F bull that is also being used at Holdens.  100 straws of 8132F semen sold in their 2019 Female sale for over $30,000!  6212D is upheaded, clean made, smooth through his shoulder, deep sided and thick quartered.  His BW epd has steadily dropped from +1,4 to -0.5 and his CED epd ranks in the top 2% at +12.4.  He also ranks in the top 5% or higher in BW, SC, M&G, CEM, and Marbling.  He has loads of eye appeal and he checks all the boxes on performance and scan data.  We have always wanted to tie into 1161Y bull after seeing many of his daughters in production and he is out one of the premier cow families in the Hereford breed with 7003T and 5139R in his pedigree!  He is a true curve bender bull that does it all.  Owned with Holden Herefords.

We kept 6101 back to use in our own herd on heifers.  He is a dark red bull with goggled eyes.  He is exhibits extra muscle, length of body, and eye appeal.  He combines those great features with a +1.1 epd for BW.  His actual birth weight was 80 lbs.  His sire, 3033 was used AI in our herd.  He is the $50,000 bull that was purchased by Broken Pic Ranch (MT) and White Brothers (TN).  Holden Herefords (MT) also used him with success.  He is now being used by B&D Herefords (KS).  6101's dam has been a very good cow that produced the 3108 herd bull that we used.  She is an own daughter of the great 310 donor cow that was used heavily at Baker Hereford Ranch (SD).  We are excited for his first calf crop in 2018.  Semen Available.

7203 was kept back in our herd to use.  He is an athletic-made bull that travels very well.  He is a real eye catcher and has a great pattern.  He is smooth moving, big-footed, and very clean fronted with a great hip.  His dam has been a top producer for us and exhibits that same clean front.  She is a long-made 9189W daughter by the 8052 cow that was a great producer for us.   His sire is the Holden 5011C bull that we continue to use with great success.

HH MISS ADVANCE 6155S

We were able to purchase half possession of 9108G in Cooper's 2020 sale.  In our opinion, he was the top Line One bull prospect in Montana in 2020!  9108G is a really powerful 7156E son that is short-marked, good pigmented, outstanding balance, and has lots of muscle and substance.  He has a big top and his muscle carries down into his lower quarter.  Dam 9184W is an 11 year old Cooper donor.  She has an outcross pedigree for many Line One based herds as she is sired by the 461P Cooper bull.  She is an impressive, moderate made cow with a great udder and overall eye appeal.  9108's sire, 7156E, had the most popular set of bulls at Coopers in 2020.  7156E is a moderate made bull that they have used successfully on mature cows and heifers.  9108G should follow in his footsteps as a very complete, well structured bull with unlimited potential.  We expect his daughters to be moderate, thick made, and good uddered. Owned with Loyning & Walen Cattle Co. and Cooper Hereford Ranch.

First sons at Cooper Hereford Ranch's 2022 sale averaged $12,300 and the top son

sold for half possession at $90,000 to Holden Herefords and Van Newkirk.
